2024 has been an outstanding year for the Annaghdown Intermediate Ladies, having claimed the Galway IFC title & the Connacht Club IFC title, to date.
Up next will be a clash with Leinster champions Bennekerry/Tinryland from Carlow in the AIB All-Ireland Club Intermediate ladies football final in Croke Park on Saturday, 14th December.
O’Neill had an impressive playing career of his own with the Annaghdown Senior footballers.
Martin was part of the last Annaghdown side to claim the Frank Fox cup back in 2001.
Annaghdown defeated Killererin in the ‘01 decider by 1-07 to 0-08.
Annaghdown went on to reach the 2001 Connacht Club SFC final but were unfortunately beaten by Mayo’s Charlestown, by 2-09 to 2-07.
O’Neill was also part of the Annaghdown side to reach the 2002 Galway Senior Football final, the last Annaghdown side to do so.
Unfortunately, they were beaten by Corofin, 3-11 to 2-02.
