Successful Hurling and Camogie Cul Camps

From Annaghdown GAA

The Annaghdown GAA Hurling and Camogie Cul Camp for 2023 concluded at Cregg today. It was an amazing week for all our young participants from Annaghdown, with a record-breaking 252 kids joining in – one of the largest Hurling Cul Camps in both our region and the entire Country.

The kids enjoyed a week full of Hurling and camogie activities in excellent facilities, complete with well-maintained pitches. Huge gratitude goes to Martin Hession and his team for their efforts.

Throughout the week, the children’s hurling skills visibly improved, which was truly rewarding to witness. We were fortunate to have Galway County hurler Éanna Murphy visit today on our last day, sharing valuable insights and advice with all the groups. We want to express our immense gratitude to the coaches and helpers who dedicated their time and hard work to ensure the camp’s success. Without their commitment, this wonderful experience for the children would not have been possible.

A heartfelt acknowledgment goes to the camp coordinator, Claire Burke. Her exceptional coordination skills and dedication contributed greatly to the smooth running of the camp, ensuring that our kids had an unforgettable week. Congratulations to Claire for a job well done. To everyone involved, thank you once again.
