🏐 Extending warm congratulations to Brendan “Rusty” Melia from Killcahill on his well-deserved retirement! As the captain of our Annaghdown senior footballers in 1982, Brendan played a pivotal role in bridging a 31-year gap. His remarkable skills as the main free-taker and high conversion rate are etched in our club’s history. With three county senior football medals to his name, Brendan’s dedication shone through, having never missed a training session in 10 years. 🏅
Beyond the field, we express our sincere gratitude for Brendan’s significant contributions around our home in Cregg over the years. As Rusty bids farewell to the CE scheme this week, we also extend our thanks to everyone involved in the CE scheme for the outstanding work done in Cregg. 🙌 Wishing Brendan a retirement filled with joy and fulfillment! 👏
